Medicine wholesale inventory capabilities
These features are available when your ProDistro shop is set up as a medicine / pharma distributor. Only capabilities that exist in the product are listed here.
Batch-wise inventory
Track medicine stock by batch number so you know which lot is on the shelf — not only a single product total.
Expiry-date tracking
Record expiry when you receive stock. Every batch carries its own date for FEFO and near-expiry decisions.
FEFO allocation during sales
When you sell, ProDistro suggests the earliest-expiry saleable batch first so older medicine moves before newer lots.
Near-expiry visibility
See batches that are approaching expiry so you can prioritize sales, returns, or promotions before stock becomes unsaleable.
Expired stock held from sale
Expired batches are not treated as saleable for FEFO allocation, reducing the risk of issuing out-of-date medicine.
Unit, box and pack management
Buy and stock medicine in the pack sizes you use — pieces, boxes, and related packaging — while inventory stays consistent.
Purchase bonus / free quantities
Record free or bonus units from suppliers on purchases so received stock matches what actually arrived.
Customer credit and receivables
Sell on credit, track unpaid invoices, and receive payments against pharmacy and clinic accounts.
Supplier purchases and payments
Enter supplier purchases with batch and expiry, then manage what you owe suppliers from the same system.
Branded sales invoices
Print clear sales invoices for retail and wholesale medicine sales after stock is allocated from batches.

Customer receivables
Medicine wholesalers often sell on credit to pharmacies and clinics. ProDistro tracks unpaid invoices and payments — see customer receivables software for distributors.

Frequently asked questions
Is ProDistro medicine distribution software or only general wholesale?+
ProDistro supports general wholesale and a pharma distributor profile. When a shop is set up as a medicine / pharma distributor, batch numbers, expiry dates, and FEFO allocation are available on purchases and sales.
How does FEFO inventory software work in ProDistro?+
On a pharma sale line, ProDistro looks for saleable batches with quantity remaining and an expiry date still in the future, then suggests the earliest expiry first. Staff can override the batch when authorised; the override is recorded.
Can I track batch and expiry for non-medicine products?+
Batch and expiry tools are intended for shops configured as pharma distributors. General and book wholesalers are not forced into medicine-only fields.
Does this replace pharmacy retail POS software?+
ProDistro is built for distribution and wholesale workflows — purchasing from suppliers, batch stock, FEFO sales to shops and clinics, receivables and payables. It is not a full retail pharmacy POS for walk-in counter scripts.
