How a US wholesale distributor would use ProDistro
This is a worked example of a regional wholesaler selling to independent shops on credit. Amounts would display in US dollars (USD). It is not a customer story, and it does not include a company name, a quote, or performance numbers. Named stories are published only for real ProDistro users.
1. Signup in USD
The owner creates a company, enters the city as free text, and chooses USD. The default cash account opens in dollars.
2. Products and customers
They add wholesale products with a case size, plus the shops they sell to on credit. Opening stock can be entered so day one does not start from zero.
3. A credit sale
A customer orders units from a case. The sale is saved on credit. Stock drops by units sold, and the customer’s outstanding balance rises by the invoice total in USD.
4. A partial payment
The customer pays part of the invoice. The receipt reduces the balance; the remainder stays visible on receivables.
5. Currency stays put
After the first sale, USD locks in Settings. ProDistro does not rewrite old invoices into another currency.
